After owning businesses for almost 40 years I have come to realize there are 7 very core precepts that we should aspire to in order to create a culture that is a win-win for both our team and customers so we all thrive together.

Please and thank you. Let our customers, co-workers and vendors know how much we appreciate them. Thank our customers every single time. And courtesy with each other internally.

Communication

With our customers. Within our company. Using the tools we have invested in. In person and digitally.

Cleanliness

Ourselves. Our trucks. Our shops. Our website. Our parts rooms. Our warehouses. Everything.

Competency

Always be learning. Growing. Improving. Making a difference. How can you get better, more productive?

Compensation

Pay more. Offer better benefits. Get quality people that require less supervision and bring their perspective.

Cultivation

Bring others up. Train our replacements. Cross train. If we don’t make sure others we work with have the best chance for success then we hinder our future. We are only as strong as our weakest teammates.

Collaboration

Work together, with each other, help each other to be better personally and professionally. Put yourself in the others shoes before criticizing. “No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care.”
